Briess Flaked Wheat adds creamy body, improved head retention, and a subtle bready wheat flavor while contributing a pale straw to light golden color.

Where It Shines

Common in Hefeweizens, Witbiers, and Belgian-style whites, as well as hazy IPAs and darker beers where wheat’s foam stability and texture are desired.

Role in the Brewhouse

A pre-gelatinized adjunct with no enzymes, it boosts protein, dextrin, and haze stability, while requiring base malt for conversion.

Brewer’s Guidance

Use 5–25% of the grist to improve body, foam, and haze. When using higher percentages, combine with rice hulls to prevent lautering issues.
